    Seamus Heaney Empty Seamus Heaney

I mentioned in another thread I had read Heaney's translation of Beowulf and loved it, but I never acted upon that love any further to try some of his original work. So now I will ask you guys, what book should I get of his to start with?

Also feel free to just generally discuss his work here.

Death of the Naturalist is probably the best collection published by any poet living today. There are several "Selected Heaney" type things published that you can pick up pretty much anywhere. I would definitely recommend reading his work.

I will get Death of a Naturalist then. I sense I won't be disappointed.
